Summer sun, the beach and the sea – what else could be better?! Of course, summer in the city is charming as well. When temperatures are rising, in particular light and fruity wines to be enjoyed in Vienna’s green oases taste very good. As in the past year, in one of these beautiful green oases, we will have our summer wine tasting and of course accompanied by exciting wines.
Austria as a small and fine wine growing nation has internationally earned a very good reputation for many years.
In particular white grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner or Riesling are known worldwide. But even red wines such as a well-cooled classic Blauer Zweigelt or an elegant Pinot Noir suit wonderfully to new temperature highlights.
But what about the comparability of Austrian wines with one of the most famous wine-growing country in the world France – are there many similarities or even greater differences?
In the course of this friendly international match we will find answers to these questions, whereby, of course, terroir of the wines will also play a major role. At this blind tasting we will enjoy high quality Austrian and French white- (6x), red- (4x), sweet- (2x) & sparkling wines (2x) – depending on personal preference – rate.
Particular attention is paid to the comparability of the flights such as vintages, maturity stages as well as similar wine styles. In this sense – may the best growths win the game!
Delicious snacks will complete this wine tasting in alliance with the wines.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 14 persons.
